What are the requirements to attend welding school?
Great news! The requirements to attend a welding school are simple. If you’re at least 18 years old, or 17 years old with parental consent, and have a valid high school diploma or GED*, you can attend a welding school. There are just a few conditions:
- Are you capable of meeting the visual and physical requirements a welding career demands?
- You have to visit and tour the campus prior to starting class.
- If you are a veteran and looking to use benefits, you must supply transcripts from all post-secondary institutions previously attended and funded with VA educational benefits.
That’s it from a technical perspective. Bring a passion to work hard to achieve your goals, and you’re ready to start a great career!
